NTNU Energy Transition Seminar: Hydrogen export from Norway - Opportunities and challenges
Wednesday 4 December
15:00 – 16:00
NTNU Gløshaugen, Gruva
Oppredning, Sem Sælands vei, Trondheim, Norge
About the event
Organizer: NTNU Energy Transition Initiative
We hope you’ll join us again in Gruva for an engaging discussion on the topic: Hydrogen export from Norway - Opportunities and challenges
Description:
Norwegian exports are dominated today by fossil fuels, which is risky considering the likelihood of decreased demand in a future decarbonized European energy system. This presentation highlights the potential of future hydrogen exports as a decarbonization option for Europe and discusses implications of developments in the European energy system on Norwegian exports.
We’ve invited two experts to present their perspectives: Postdoctoral Alessandro Campari from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Research Scientist Julian Straus from SINTEF Energy, who focuses on aspects of hydrogen production, energy system modelling and analyses. Each presenter will have 15 minutes, followed by a lively discussion.
Our goal is to provide a platform for learning about ongoing research projects, expanding academic networks, and sharing expertise across departments, all while approaching the energy transition from a holistic perspective. And of course, there’ll be pizza! 🍕
Format:
- 15 minute presentation
- 5 minute discussion
- 15 minute presentation
- 5 minute discussion
- 20 minute plenary
- Pizza and mingling.
Sign up for the email list on the website and receive exclusive invitations to interdisciplinary networking seminars at NTNU, focusing on how different disciplines come together to advance energy research. Join discussions, learn about ongoing research projects, and strengthen your academic network!
The NTNU Energy Systems Seminar is held in Gruva at Gløshaugen – on the last Thursday of the month (with some exceptions). Read more here: https://www.ntnu.edu/energytransition/ntnu-energy-systems-seminar
