Tension between forces of life and death
- Contrasts and conflicts in the turbulent years of childhood and adolescence
Welcome to the 35th anniversary of the Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (IBUP). "Tension between the forces of life and death - Contrasts and conflicts in the turbulent years of childhood and adolescence" is our conference title. For 35 years, IBUP has been an institute that has educated child and adolescent therapists. This year, IBUP's anniversary conference will focus on the forces in the psyche that move in the direction of division and fragmentation and forces that seek to integrate, unite and create meaning. The theme here will be death and life; in relationships, in the body and in inner space, in adults and children, and in the very youngest.
Program Day 1:
- The program runs from 09:00 - 16:30 with a short break before we meet again 18:00 for an aperitif and anniversary dinner.
The keynote lectures will be by:
- Becky Hall: “Starting out in Life: Early trauma, fostering and the parental state of mind”. (Zoom)
- Niina Venetjoki: “You are not my mother – A case study of an adolescent female, who wanted to kill”. (Zoom)
Parallel sessions by:
- Eystein Våpenstad: "User-with-effect. About the rights of the infant and intersubjectivity"
- Trond Diseth and Marianne Omdal: “The body as a bearer of symbols – on the importance of a psychodynamic perspective in somatics"
- Maria Ramvi: "Emotions and defense - the therapist's experiences in meeting with adolescents who self-harm"
- Maud Heie Bjerke: "Being in a room with a fragile and wild bird. About parenting with a foster mother"
Tonight's feature before dinner:
- Ingeborg Aarseth in a book discussion with author Maria Kjos Fonn who reads from her book; "Margaret. Are you in grief"
Program Day 2:
