ABOUT THE COURSE
This course is perfect for those who want to start kiting, as well as those who have tried kiting before but are unsure on snow or have only kited on water. No prior knowledge of wind is required to start kiting, but you should be able to ski.
PROGRAM
Day 1
Meeting point at the Outdoor School in Storwartz, Røros. Harnesses and kites will be handed out at the kite spot. At the beginning of the course, we will go through packing, launching, and steering the kite. Participants will work in pairs. You will practice kite control before we introduce skis or snowboards. The day ends at approximately 15:00.
Day 2
Same meeting place and time as on Day 1 (unless otherwise agreed). Depending on the participants' skill levels, some will continue practicing kite control, while others may try skiing or snowboarding if they did not manage it on Day 1. (This depends on wind and weather conditions as well as your kite control.) Progress in kiting comes from mastering the kite itself. The day ends at approximately 15:00.
