About the Sustainable Procurement Barometer:

Since 2007, the Sustainable Procurement Barometer has benchmarked sustainable procurement practices across diverse industries, highlighting key obstacles and success factors to accelerate sustainable procurement. This session will provide insights from an analysis of 590 procurement programs, revealing crucial data and trends. Hosted by Nicole Sherwin, Chief Impact Officer at EcoVadis and co-developer of the barometer with Accenture, the session promises to offer expert perspectives on overcoming barriers and leveraging success factors to enhance sustainable procurement strategies.


Nicole Sherwin is Chief Impact Officer - Customer Advisory & Strategy at EcoVadis - a SaaS Business Sustainability Ratings company and first French unicorn in Sustainability tech. Over the past 13 years she has been consulting on strategy and implementation of sustainable supply chain solutions for Global 500 companies. She sees the combination of technology & supply chains as having extraordinary potential to amplify sustainability impacts. With a previous career in film making, she shifted her professional focus after producing documentaries on social & environmental impacts of multinational practices in Central America. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Presidio Graduate School.

Bob Willard is a prominent figure in the field of corporate sustainability. Based in Toronto, Canada, he is the founder and Chief Sustainability Champion of Sustainability Advantage. Willard leverages his extensive 34-year career at IBM Canada to promote and quantify the business value of sustainability strategies. He is renowned for his ability to engage the business community in adopting smart environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.

Over the past 22 years, Willard has delivered more than 1,700 presentations to a diverse range of audiences including corporate, government, university, and NGO sectors. He is also a prolific author, having written six influential books on sustainability: "The Sustainability Advantage" (2002), "The Next Sustainability Wave" (2005), "The Sustainability Champion’s Guidebook" (2009), "The New Sustainability Advantage" (2012), the "Future-Fit Business Benchmark" (2016), and the "Sustainability ROI Workbook" (2017). His work includes extensive resources like Master Slide Decks, toolkits, and videos designed to build capacity for sustainability champions​ (SustAdvantage)​​ (Social Value Canada)​.

Willard is actively involved in various advisory roles, serving on the boards of the Future-Fit Foundation and the B Corp Standards Advisory Council. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including induction into the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) Hall of Fame and receiving Clean50 awards in 2015, 2017, and a Lifetime Achievement award in 2023​ (GreenBiz)​​ (CPA Canada)​.

For the last few years, Bob has focused on Sustainable Procurement and Net-Zero Procurement as market forces to incentivize the transition to more sustainable business models and to mobilize businesses in the race to net-zero GHGs. He co-developed the SPLC Navigator that scores how well an organization has integrated core sustainable procurement elements into its procurement system. He serves on the Canadian government’s Low Carbon Procurement Advisory Committee, is on the core faculty of the Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR) Sustainable Procurement Fellowship program, and is an Advisor to the Mission from MaRs – Net-Zero Procurement Mission. He teaches a 4-webinar ISSP course on Sustainable Procurement which provides guidance on how to use his free, open-source Sustainable Procurement Toolkit and Net-Zero Procurement Toolkit.

Andreas Friis is the Founder & Executive Chair of Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB). Friis has been a driving force behind the concept and vision of S-HUB, working closely with his team to promote sustainability practices in Norway. He is passionate about value-based leadership and the role of purposeful businesses in solving significant global challenges.

With over a decade of experience in sustainable business models, social enterprise, and hybrid companies, Andreas launched and managed Live Arctic, a social enterprise and food company. He also served as the Director of Strategy and Business Development at Me to We in Toronto, Canada, helping to grow sustainable social enterprises in North America. Additionally, he co-founded Lederforum Grenland and FK Grenland football club.

Andreas holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a B.A. in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen. He has also been a lecturer at BI Norwegian Business School Executive MBA program and Green Growth Executive Programme, focusing on sustainable business practices.

Under his leadership, S-HUB has become a prominent network for sustainability professionals in Norway, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among its member organizations across various sectors.
