Kan Norge bli Europas "hjerne" for kunstig intelligens (AI)?
Tirsdag 14. november 2023
12:00 – 16:00
Epicenter Oslo
Edvard Storms gate 2, Oslo, Norge

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW👇:
Can Norway become Europe's "brain" for artificial intelligence (AI)?
That AI is here to stay is as certain as the internet is here to stay. And when you build AI infrastructure, in practice you also build data centers. In other words, we need more data center capacity now than ever before to meet the new demand for AI, a demand that looks set to break all previous records.
Norway has the prerequisites to take great advantage of the development and further develop a power-intensive data center industry to become Europe's "brain" for AI infrastructure. We have a well-organised and efficient ecosystem of suppliers and consultants who are leaders in Europe in the construction and operation of data centres. We build and operate data centers energy efficiently and with a better carbon footprint than the vast majority of countries we can compare ourselves with.
In this conference, we address this from different perspectives, first from a regulatory perspective:
- Are we on our way into a new regulatory landscape that effectively will cool down the growth in the Norwegian data center market?
The second perspective is to take a closer look at whether the construction of AI infrastructure will contribute to strengthening the Norwegian economy.
- Does Norway now have a unique opportunity to take the lead in developing an open, democratic and ethical AI infrastructure for a large European market?
To answer this, we have set up two different panel discussions, as well as updates from a bunch of suppliers who are close to developments. In the conversation about AI, we invite representatives of academia and industry to sit in the panel.
The conference is free and open to all members of Norsk Datasenter Industri, IKT-Norge and anyone else who wants to keep up-to-date in the area.
Complimentary refreshments during the breaks.
