Drawing club is a monthly meet up with a guided drawing session for all levels for anyone who loves drawing, held in central Bergen at Isotop. 

 

At the drawing club you will be provided with drawing prompts and references to inspire a fun and playful drawing session, in a comfortable setting with like-minded people. 2.5h hours of drawing and play!

 

Octobers club theme is landscape and explorers.

 

Who is this for?

Are you someone who loves drawing and wants to develop their skills? Do you want to try new things, bring play into drawing, experiment with materials, mark making, formats, approaches to drawing and making pictures? Then it's for you!

Suitable for experienced creatives and beginners who want to reconnect with drawing! 

 

The sessions are free of judgment and a safe space to be creative without any preconceived ideas of how images should look like. All skill sets, styles and people are welcome.

These sessions are guided but you are working on your own.

At the end of the session, we will have time to share our work, discuss and share experiences.

 

The session is held in English. Please contact me in advance if you need translation and I will provide you with key points in Norwegian.

 

Materials:

Bring your own materials you are comfortable using. Some will be available to use on the day if you have yet to have any of your own.

➿Bring sketchbooks or loose paper

➿something for lines (dry materials like pencils, markers, pastels)

➿something for shapes (like paint, ink, markers etc.).

 

About me:

I love drawing and incorporating experiments into my illustration practice and I'm passionate about sharing the approaches I've learned with everyone. I have written and published books about creativity and drawing, taught workshops in London for the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Pinterest and I am excited to be opening Drawing Club season in Bergen, join for one session of the whole series!
