Sunet and Sikt invites Canvas users within higher education institutions in the Nordics to a Nordic Canvas Networking Day at Novotel Amsterdam City on November 9, the day following Instructure's CanvasConnect event for the Nordics and Benelux.
Preliminary program:
09:00-10:00: Plenary session
10:00-10:30: Morning coffee
10:30-11:10: Parallell sessions 1A and 1B
11:10-11:20: Short break
11:20-12:00: Parallell sessions 2A and 2B
10:30-12:15 (along parallell sessions 1 & 2)
Study visit to Vrije Universiteit (VU)
12:00-13:00: Lunch
13:00-13:40: Parallell sessions 3A and 3B
13:40-13:50: Short break
13:50-14:30: Parallell session 4A and 4B
12:45-14:30 (along parallell sessions 3 & 4) -
Study visit to Vrije Universiteit (VU)
Note that this second study visit will only take place if sufficient interest is expressed through the registrations
14:30-15:00: Afternoon coffee and closing remarks
About the sessions:
We have two rooms at the venue - one large and one small. The "A sessions" will be hosted in the large room using an "unconference" format. In other words: there is plenty of opportunity to talk to other Canvas users about the topics that are important to you.
Feel free to suggest topics using this registration form.
In the smaller room we will host talks and workshops on topics such as Admin Analytics, New Quizzes, the use of rubrics and the customization of admin tools.
About the study trip(s) to VU:
The study trips to VU are subject to interest from you, the attendees. If there is sufficient interest we will try to host one trip before and one trip after lunch. The VU campus is a 20 minute walk from Novotel (our venue), which leaves about one hour for the study visit itself. Note that the first study trip will extend 15 minutes into lunch and the second one will depart 15 minutes before the lunch is over.
Details are still being hammered out, but VU are keen to host us and show us their facilities as well as fascilitate meetings with students and faculty.
About the tickets
The ticket price covers lunch as well as coffee and refreshments through the day.
