This two-day workshop provides a solid understanding of object-oriented programming using the world’s most popular programming language: Python 3. 

Python’s reputation as a desirable language for both first-time programmers and experts is well-earned. Syntactically simple, Python mirrors natural language, making the language accessible for beginners. At the same time, Python can handle data from almost any source, making it a powerful tool in data science and machine learning. Python also has a robust standard library that is extremely well-documented. You can, therefore, do a lot with very few third-party libraries or modules. And, with a supportive online Python Community, additional modules are also well-maintained. 

During this workshop, we will demonstrate how to use Python for web scraping, harvesting data from websites, and natural language processing or creating value out of natural language. Finally, we will explore the ethics of data capturing.

Our goal is that you leave this workshop with one less challenge and one new solution in hand. 

The workshop will be in two parts: Tuesday, 19th September and Thursday, 21 September 2023, from 12:00 to 4:00 both days.
