Project Origin: How technology can combat misinformation
Friday 26 May 2023
09:00 – 11:00
Media Lab, tower 3, floor 9.
Lars Hilles gate 30, Bergen, Norge
About the event
Organizer: Media City Bergen
Charlie Halford from the BBC will run a two-part presentation and workshop, exploring the C2PA standard for media provenance and what it can do to prevent misinformation.
The first part will look at the problems we face, and how we might adapt media workflows to take advantage of this new technology.
The second part will focus on the technology itself, how it works, and the things we will need to think about when implementing it into our workflows and tools.
You can either participate in person in the Medialab in Media City Bergen or interactively on Zoom.
