Hackathon for the climate
Friday 17 March 2023
13:00 – 19:00
Oda Offices
Nydalsveien 28, Oslo, Norway
About the event
Organizer: IxDA Oslo / CICERO / Oda
Be creative. Have a drink. Save the planet (a little bit)
CICERO, IxDA Oslo & Oda are calling all designers, developers and other creatives to help solve the climate crisis.
Think of this as a creative “dugnad” to increase climate emission literacy about food in Norway. CICERO has done amazing work researching what climate friendly food means for Norway, but most Norwegians still have misconceptions regarding what climate friendly food really is. And this is where the creative community in Oslo can help.
How does this work?
This will be a hands on hackathon, with the goal of developing and visualising different concepts on how to spread information about climate friendly food in Norway.
You will get help from some of Norways top climate scientists and researchers to help you develop your idea.
All ideas will be open sourced, available for anyone who wishes to use them.
What do I get out of it?
You’ll get free snacks & drinks. You’ll get a juicy design challenge. You’ll get coaching from top notch climate scientists. And you get to work hands-on with saving the planet.
Details:
You can sign up as an individual or as a team. And yes there will be presentations and a winner announced at the end.
Time: Friday 17th of March 13:00–19:00
Location: Oda Offices in Nydalsveien 28, Oslo
The agenda:
1) Introducing the challenge
2) Working in groups
3) Final presentations
PS: There is a max amount of tickets for this event. If you sign up and know you will not be able to make it, we kindly ask you to let us know so that the ticket will be available for someone on the waiting list.
