Hope for Oslo is a weeklong experience of worship & prayer, teachings and evangelistic events that is curated by local churches in Oslo. The events will take place in 30 different places in Oslo.
The program begins officially on the 21st of June in the morning and ends on Friday 24th June evening. There will be a 'Start to Worship & Prayer' on Monday 20th June evening at 7pm that you are welcome to join also. It will be the start to the 24/7 prayer and worship happening that week.
From Tuesday - Friday, there will be teaching in the mornings, different evangelism opportunities in the day time, worship & input in the evenings. We do not have any children's programme. Everything will be conducted in English. A more detailed schedule will be communicated closer to the date.
Morning & evening meetings will be held at Storsalen Menighet.
Registration for the week will be on the 20th of May from 2pm-7pm at Storsalen.
The schedule and further details will be in your confirmation email, lookout for the text "Please look here for your General Info and Welcome Guide". You can click on the word 'here' or 'General Info and Welcome Guide'.
Accommodation
It would be recommended to try and book your own accommodation according to your budget if your group is smaller 20 people, as there are major events happening in Oslo that week. Booking for your own specific group will be easier to get rooms than for us to block out a huge amounts of rooms might amount to higher costs. You can try booking.com, hostelworld, or Airbnb.
Should you not be able to find anything there or really need other options, we have a few options for accommodation available (locations that can fit 30-100 people), of which there will be a simple breakfast provided and you can pack your lunch from the breakfast spread. Dinners are not provided. If you are not booking accommodation with us, meals are not provided.
Transportation
Transportation will be the tram, train and bus system around Oslo and are on your own cost. Google Maps will be your good friend, to be able to navigate around, and the Oslo transportation system is quite in sync with it, to know which buses/trains/trams to take to get around the city.
There are day/weekly transportation passes (117-323kr) that can be purchased online or using the Ruter mobile app.
Payment
Payment options are via credit card, Vipps (Norway only) & Bank Transfer (Norway only)
