SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP – IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY

Whether we are living in the midst of a major health pandemic, or emerging from one, we still face a number of burning ecological, economic, and political problems that lead to both social and existential uncertainty. This situation poses tremendous challenges to the task of leadership in different contexts. In this conference, contributors from different academic disciplines will convene to reflect on what kind of leadership will prove to be sustainable in the long-term – even if risk and uncertainty will remain essential aspects of the late modern/postmodern condition. 

DATE AND LOCATION

The conference will be held from May 18-20 2022 at Høyskolen for ledelse og teologi (HLT) in the centre of Oslo, St. Olavs gate 24, Norway. Accommodation is available at reduced prices (app. 70 Euro per night) at Smart hotel next door. The conference fee will be about 200 Euro, incl. meals.  

EXTEND YOUR STAY

We would recommend arriving earlier, if possible, to take part in the celebration of the Norwegian National Day on May 17. The weekend after the conference, there will be opportunities to go sightseeing or visit churches in the area. The sightseeing options in Oslo Saturday May 21 includes visiting main tourist attractions in Oslo (costs NOK 445 and includes free entrance to museums as well as public transport). If you would like to visit a local church and/or do an excursion to a town near Oslo on Sunday May 22 we will provide tips and contact information for church services and possible excursions.
