FME, the Dutch industrial federation, brings together leading technology partners and research institutions, with a special focus on sustainable and innovative solutions.
In close cooperation with AHK Norwegen — the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, which facilitates business and knowledge exchanges between Germany and Norway — the tour provides a curated platform for cross-border networking and learning. Norway’s advanced expertise in autonomous maritime systems, especially in commercial shipping and ferry operations, sets the stage for valuable knowledge transfer and new partnerships.
Program Highlights
25 March: Welcome Briefing in Oslo: Hosted at the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, with introductions from the Dutch and German embassies (TBC) and the Ocean Autonomy Cluster, providing an overview of Norwegian maritime autonomy.
26 March: Site Visits in Horten & Porsgrunn: Exclusive access to leading companies such as Kongsberg Discovery, Kongsberg Maritime, and a hands-on experience with the Bastø Ferry (Torghatten) operations. If available, participants will tour the world-renowned Yara Birkeland autonomous vessel in Porsgrunn.
27 March: Interactive Seminar in Oslo: A half-day event featuring expert speakers, panel discussions on science & R&D, business opportunities, and regulatory frameworks, and targeted networking with Norwegian industry leaders.
This tailored program ensures participants gain first-hand insights into Norway’s autonomous maritime ecosystem and establish high-impact connections for future innovation and cooperation.
Fee covers:
