Arrangør: Den norske kirke, Kirkerådet
Under the umbrella of Oslo, the European green capital 2019, https://www.greencapital2019.com/about-us we invite you to learn how churches can be agents of change for a more sustainable society; to respond to the Paris climate agreement and the UN sustainable development goals.
The organizers of the conference are The Church of Norway and the European Christian Environmental Network (ECEN) https://ecen.org/about-us. We will investigate what has happened and what is being done now in churches, both in Oslo and all over Europe. We will look at the challenging situation we face and the biblical rationale for taking action to change it. You will have the opportunity to learn about the situation in Norway and particularly in Oslo.
Along with presentations, you will be able to meet local communities, visit projects and experience the sights, the smells and the sounds of Oslo. You may also experience a hike in the nearby forest, a boat-trip in the Oslo fjord, or a visit to the amazing Hope Cathedral project in nearby Fredrikstad.
The price of the conference is 900 NOK (approx. 90 Euro) when registation is done before April 27th. This includes food and lodging and all program for 3 days. The conference will be free of charge for contributors to the program. It is possible to attend parts of the conference, and to get refunds for travelling costs. Follow the guide upon registration, and see more information here:https://kirken.no/nb-NO/gronnkirke/til-forsiden/europeisk-konferanse-for-gronne-menigheter/
