Invitation to IMPETUS user meeting and traditional "julebord" – 12 November 2025, Oslo

Dear Nordic IMPETUS users! 

We have the pleasure of inviting you to our user meeting followed by a traditional “julebord” in Oslo on 12 November. 

The user meeting will be hosted by FFI – Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, at Kunnskapens hus, Kjeller, Instituttveien 20, outside Oslo. The building is next to the main gate of FFI. Our julebord is at Engebret Café, Bankplassen 1, in the centre of Oslo. 

Agenda 12 November: 

09:30: Optional bus transport from Oslo centre to FFI. The bus departs in front of Hotel Scandic Victoria, Rosenkranzgt, Oslo. 

11:00: Welcome to meeting by FFI and IMPETUS. Kunnskapens hus, Kjeller. 

12:00: Lunch 

13:00: Presentations from IMPETUS and users. Technical agenda to be finalised. We finish at 17:00. 

17:30: Optional bus transport from Kjeller, Kunnskapens hus to Oslo Centre, Hotel Scandic Victoria. 

20:15: Julebord at Engebret Café, Bankplassen 1, Oslo.  

We will show results from current activities at IMPETUS and we look forward to what you as an IMPETUS user can share. All participants are welcome to contribute to the technical agenda, please add your presentation title to the ticket option – we aim for 15 min presentations. A final agenda will be made available closer to the meeting.

Given the optional bus transport to/from FFI, all activities will be within walking distance of the central station and most hotels in Oslo. Arriving by train in Oslo is therefore a good option. 

Our user base is growing and we have probably missed some of you. We call upon colleagues to forward the meeting invitation internally to anyone that may have an interest in the user meeting and “julebord”.
