Future Week: Hackathon for Open-Source Reality
Thursday 25 September
16:00 – 20:00
Bergen, Exact venue TBD
Lars Hilles gate 30, Bergen, Norge
About the event
Organizer: Media Cluster Norway
As part of Future Week, Nathan Freitas, from Proofmode and Guardian Project, and an open-source contributor to Signal and Tor Project, will be hosting a hackathon focused on co-designing and developing free and open-source software for the common good idea of “Defending Reality”.
While all ideas, backgrounds, and skill levels are welcome, there will be a focus on identity, provenance and authentication technology, along with a general theme of security and privacy tech. Time will split between exploring new possibilities for defending (and defining!) reality, and hands-on design and coding to make quick demos and proof-of-concepts of new features and ideas.
