We will discuss how rapid and broad diagnostics can improve the treatment of respiratory infections by quickly identifying infectious agents. The focus is on reducing unnecessary antibiotic use and counteracting antibiotic resistance.

There will also be a focus on children, where the aim is to preserve the gut microbiota to avoid future complications.

We will also investigate the need for a national register for respiratory diagnostics and whether more testing is needed, e.g., in nursing homes.
